ABOUT HOLLY HOLT
Head Teacher, Holly Holt is at the helm of Golden Hands, bringing an unparalleled level of expertise and dedication. As the only woman to achieve National Grand Champion titles across all Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association events and a seasoned coach of national champions, she combines her martial arts mastery with her rich musical performance and education background in jazz piano from the University of North Texas. Her experience as Program Director, Youth Program Director and Head Black Belt Instructor at Aim & Focus Karate has helped her formed her dream for her school. Her vision is to create a space that embodies excellence, empowerment, and community.
Study traditional korean martial arts following the reputable legacy and local Austin-school, Aim & Focus Karate. Golden Hands is part of the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan. We offer a unique approach to self-defense as well as body control and awareness. Tang Soo Do is a martial art focusing on strengthening the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of us. We offer a beginners class, intermediate and advanced class.
Also known as "earthing" or "mind-boxing," Yi Chuan is an ancient martial arts system focused on healing the mind and body. Utilizing slow, flowing movements and strengthening meditations we realign the body and mind. One is certain to leave the class feeling restored.
A class for women that is both a workout as well as a safe space to discuss awareness and adult protection. You'll be sure to get a sweat in as well as learn practical self-defense.
Golden Hands will be used as a space to host live music events and gatherings to build community. Whether it be professional musicians throughout Austin, or our very own student recitals...the frequencies will be beautiful within Golden Hands!
